My National Defense Day
Tuesday, in the October 20th, I went to a military base to do my presence on the National Defense. They are having a militar exercise with more than 14 countries, some of them are the United States, Canada, Italy... It was just AMAZING to see all those people, men and women, doing what they like!
Our speakers were designated or volunteered to give us speaches about Navy, Air Force and National Army. They told us everything we could imagine about them. The most amazing about this thing is if we join Navy, Air Force ou National Army, we can pursue studies without spending any money and still receive a wage at the end of the month with all expenses paid! Isn't that AWESOME? If I had the strenghth to do a good job and be the best, I am telling you that I would go to the Navy...
In Portugal we have the biggest maritime territory to explore and "protect" and there is lack of sailors to be able to do it... That's why I am saying I would go!
Wouldn't you feel pleased to represent your country and protect it? I think you would...
In the end of the day they gave us our military ballot. This indicates that we had fulfilled our first military duty and we are in reserve until we do 35 years.
Terça-feira, dia 20 de Outubro, fui a uma base militar para fazer a minha presença no Dia da Defesa Nacional. Neste momento está a haver um exercÃcio militar com mais de 14 paÃses, entre eles os Estados Unidos da América, Canadá, Itália... Foi incrÃvel ver todas aquelas pessoas, homens e mulheres, a fazer o que gostam!
Os militares que nos deram as palestras foram designados ou ofereceram-se para nos dar pequenas palestras acerca da Marinha, da Força Aérea e do Exército. Eles disseram-nos tudo o que poderÃamos imaginar sobre todas essas "forças". O mais surpreendente sobre isto tudo é podermos juntar-nos à Marinha, à Força Aérea ou ao Exército Nacional e podermos prosseguir os estudos sem gastar um único euro e ainda receber um salário ao final do mês com todas as despesas pagas! Não é IMPRESSIONANTE? Se eu tivesse "força" para fazer um bom trabalho e ser a melhor, eu digo-vos que eu ia para a Marinha... SEM PENSAR DUAS VEZES!!!
Em Portugal temos o maior território marÃtimo para explorar e "proteger" e há falta de marinheiros para o conseguirem fazer ... É por isto que digo que eu ia!!
Não iam sentir o prazer de representar o nosso próprio paÃs e protegê-lo? Eu acho sim...
No final do dia, entregaram-nos a nossa cédula militar. Isto indica que tÃnhamos cumprido o nosso primeiro dever militar e que estamos na Reserva Militar até que fazermos os 35 anos.
